Mrs. RowellHello there. My name is Mrs. Rowell and I'd like to introduce myself. I grew up in Sault Ste. Marie where I attended Sault Area High School and Lake Superior State University. I graduated from LSSU with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and continued my education at Central Michigan University. At CMU I recieved a degree in Elementary Education where I majored in Child Development and minored in Math and Spanish. I also have a Masters degree from University of Phoenix in "Curriculum and Instructional Technology. After graduation from CMU I began to teach and married my husband Eric. I have spent the majority of my career teaching here at Ojibwe Charter School (OCS). Currently I have several roles at OCS. I am the Reading Intervention Specialist/MiBLSi Reading Coach and Technology Director along with teaching my reading, technology, and PE classes. Of course this keeps me very busy during the day but I love all of my various roles. When I'm not at school, I love to spend time with my family. My husband (Eric) and our son Alexander who keeps us very active. We also have two cats (Maude and Lily), one dog (Bear). We love to play outside, go to hockey games, and just spend time together enjoying new experiences. In the summer we spend a lot of time camping and just hanging out together. On the rare occassion that I have some time to myself, I love to spend time trying out new recipes and reading.
